Africasea – acoustic
by Chris on Aug.18, 2008, under acoustic, tracks, video
Now for a bit of a departure. Here’s some video of me performing one of my songs, ‘Africasea’ on the acoustic guitar. There is an electronic version which I will post soon.
FBI
by Chris on Sep.26, 2007, under covers, tracks
A not-entirely-serious cover version of The Shadows’ FBI. Featuring programmed beats and noises (courtesy of Ableton Live) and a real guitar. I have a dubby version of this that I may unleash at some point…
My Baby Luvs Sandwiches
by Chris on Sep.21, 2007, under bootlegs, tracks
A bootleg of ‘Baby Luv’ and ‘Sandwiches’, as the title implies. One of the first things I did with a computer programme called Acid!
Bizniss
by Chris on Aug.03, 2007, under tracks
Droning bass, acoustic guitar, 4/4 beats. My most recently (finished) track. Enjoy.
Red House Glitch
by Chris on May.21, 2007, under remixes, tracks
Here’s a dirty, glitchy remix of the Red House Painters. Why? The challenge was laid down (names omitted to protect the guilty), and I couldn’t resist… Hope you like.
Parallel Lives
by Chris on May.07, 2007, under tracks
Ok, just while I sort out hosting for some new material, here’s another oldie. This tune was used in the video of the same name, produced for Interact Worldwide.
Paint It Black
by Chris on Apr.27, 2007, under covers, tracks
The last of my old stuff, I promise. This is an attempt to emulate The Avengers cover of Paint It Black (in my own, unique style, of course). Yes, that is my voice, in case you’re wondering…
Escape (2003 mix)
by Chris on Apr.24, 2007, under tracks
This is another very old track – circa 1995, given a freshen-up in 2003. The wonders of modern technology eh?
Boogie Oogie Oogie
by Chris on Apr.19, 2007, under covers, tracks
Ok, after setting this blog-thing up a long time ago, I’m finally posting something. It’s the Nightmare Jazz Cafe version of “Boogie Oogie Oogie”.The original was by disco divas, A Taste of Honey. Our version has been around for a while but I need to start this blog somewhere. Donna Swabey was the other, vocally talented half of NJC. Hope you like it.
