Couch Boy Music

I’ve mentioned before about “We Dance, Wee Groove”, and posted a mix.  To recap, I’ve been DJing at a music and dance event for under fives (and associated adults).  The concept has developed from a ‘baby rave’ which took place at the Imaginate Festival in Edinburgh last year.  It has elements of performance, interaction and a club event, with music, lights, dancers and video projections.

Following on from four sessions for nursery schools, there will be three shows for the general public on Saturday 1 November at the Scottish Youth Theatre.  They will take place at 10.30am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm.

We’ve been rehearsing over the past week (courtesy of Dance House) and have moved the production forward considerably since the Edinburgh gigs earlier this year.  We’ve worked hard on getting the music right and developed the dancing.  I’ll also be playing guitar and scratching as part of the show.  I can’t wait to see and hear the results in action.
